Set dates for documents#
In the Document Browser, the publication date, resubmission date and expiry date can be set directly and outside the workflow for several documents at the same time.
Specify dates in the Document Browser#
-
Access the document browser via Documents -> Document browser..
-
Change dates under the document table opens the dialog for defining the dates.
- A date and time can now be defined for each date type using the drop-down lists or the calendar function. Before doing so, the checkbox must be activated for the date type.
- You can use the Mark for deletion link to specify that the date entry should be removed from the documents when the dates are changed.
After saving, a confirmation informs you for which documents the changes have been made.
Required permissions#
To assign the dates for one or more documents, users need access rights to the controllers expiry_date
, publish_date
and resubmission_date
.
- Open the rights management via System -> Permissions.
- Select the
expiry_date
right in the access rights area. - If the selected controller should not inherit the rights of the higher-level controller, deactivate the corresponding switch.
- Activate one of the radio boxes offered in the right-hand area under Set user privileges - whether everyone, only certain groups or only the superuser should be able to set the expiry date.
- Alternatively, the permissions can also be inherited from the higher-level controller by activating the corresponding switch.
- If necessary, select Open inherited controller if you want to view the rights for this.
- Save your changes with SAVE. By clicking CANCEL you return to rights management without saving your entries.
- Repeat this procedure for the
publish_date
andresubmission_date
controllers.
