Maintenance

The system-side maintenance of imperia is limited to the creation and verification of backups and the control of log files.

Backup

The directory tree of the development and target systems should be backed up regularly.

Log Files

The log files of the web server and imperia located in the /site/logs directory should be checked regularly. First, to detect possible functional errors and second, to prevent possible memory overload.

To ensure a productive operation of the system, the log files should be rotated and compressed by a log rotate.

For example, the log files should be written in a new file and zipped every day. After a few days this file can be put into an archive and deleted at a later time.
