MCP / AI Assistant
pirobase CMS provides an AI assistant based on the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Users can operate the entire CMS via chat and phrase their tasks in natural language. The assistant complements the existing user interface with dialogue-based access to the functions of the system.
Use cases range from creating new pages and building pages from existing documents to comparing pages and user management. This allows both editorial and administrative tasks to be handled directly in a dialogue with the assistant.
Control over changes stays with the user: The assistant informs the user in the chat about the planned changes and only carries them out after explicit confirmation. It works with the permissions of the respective user account. These determine which content and functions it can access and which actions it can perform. All changes are made on behalf of the user and can therefore be traced in the page history.
The MCP connection also opens up additional possibilities for development teams: Via MCP, a pirobase CMS web session can be controlled remotely from the IDE. Developers can use this, for example, to create test content and trigger CMS tasks directly from their development environment.
Using the assistant requires the installation of an included MCP bridge and the provision of an AI model, which has to be ordered separately from pirobase CMS.
