Technical innovations
In the pirobase CMS core product, Spring has been upgraded to version 5.3.
Some classes (such as Hibernate and Velocity support) have been removed in Spring 5 and are also integrated into the core product as a compatibility jar.
Other Spring APIs that are no longer available in Spring 5 may be used in project extensions, so these must be checked when updating
The metadata search now uses Elasticsearch 8. The installation of the server has changed. Details can be found in the search documentation.
Supported platforms adapted
With each release, we evaluate the supported platforms based on customer feedback. Following are changes in CMS 24.1:
- Windows 11 was included in the tests as a client and is supported.
- Our test systems now use Rocky Linux 9.2
