Redirects to images with the URL Manager add-on

The URL Manager add-on can be used, among other things, to create pages that trigger a redirect to any URL or page in the CMS. These pages can be linked with standard functions and are automatically included in navigations.

Files in libraries can now also be defined as forwarding destinations. For this purpose, there is a new File Forwarding template in the URL Manager template. This enables the selection of a file from a library or the upload of a file.

When the page is called, the URL of the file is then called.

User import/export with the setup tool

The client export in the setup tool has been extended to include functions for exporting and importing users. This is particularly helpful if, for example, users are to be saved on test systems.

When exporting, the users, groups and profiles of a client are saved. Deleted users are not included here. Groups and profiles without users are exported.

During import, users and the missing groups and profiles are created. If necessary roles are not available in the system, the import will be aborted.

For more information on how to use it, please refer to the Admin Guide.

WebP Support in Standard Templates

The WebP image format has been included in the predefined default templates that allow an image ( Image, File, Attachment elements and their variants).

The image/webp mimetype can also be used system-wide.
To use it in project-specific templates, you must configure the mimetype as well.

Supported platforms adapted

With each release, we evaluate the supported platforms based on customer feedback. Following are changes in CMS 10.5:

  • The Oracle 12.1.0.2 and 12.2.0.2 (18c) databases have been removed. These will also reach their "end of life" in July 2022, i.e. the end of standard support from Oracle.
  • Internet Explorer 11 is also no longer supported since mid-June 2022. Its successor is Microsoft Edge.
  • New is the support of MySQL 8. In addition, Pluggable Databases in Oracle 19c are supported.
  • Windows Server 2016 is supported. Windows Server 2012 is no longer supported.
